Peter Kraus may not have won Rachel Lindsay's heart on The Bachelorette, but he's still grateful for the experience.

During his appearance on Good Morning America on Wednesday, he opened up about the shocking finale and what it was like seeing Lindsay on After the Final Rose.

"It was the first time being back in those emotions, it was hard," Kraus admitted. "I knew I was watching this woman be hurt, I was watching myself be hurt, and I was going to have to face her for the first time since then. There was a lot of emotion."

"Rachel and I had a conversation onstage, and I think she's in a very happy place," he added. "I'm getting to a happy place, and we left on good terms. I think it's OK."

As fans of the series can recall, during the finale, Kraus had a heated moment with Lindsay, where he told her to "go find someone to have a mediocre life with." He told GMA host Michael Strahan he regretted saying that.

"That was stupid of me to say," Kraus said. "It was in the heat of the moment. I was very emotional and I shouldn't have said it. I was very apologetic for it. Understandably so, she took offense to it."

"I don't think she settled," he added. "We had an amazing connection on our date, but she also had an amazing connection with Bryan [Abasolo], it was obvious from the start. He's a good fit. They seem very happy and I wish them nothing but the best."

Following the season 13 finale of The Bachelorette, ET caught up with Lindsay and her new fiancé, Bryan Abasolo, in New York City, where she opened up about why she didn't choose fan-favorite Kraus as her final pick.

"I felt a little bit of manipulation there," Lindsay said of her relationship with Kraus, adding that his fans "have no idea" what went on behind the scenes of their relationship. "The lack of commitment, you telling me that you want this future with me, but you didn't want to take the actions to have it... like, that's what triggered those emotions in me."

"I felt like there was a lot of push and pull. I feel like he was giving me just enough to keep me and string me along, rather than being forthcoming with everything," she continued. "And the thing is, when I walked in [the night of the breakup], I knew what I was going to do, and I still kept getting that push and that pull. So it was hard."
